Campaign for High School Equity
Program identifies 15 influential community leaders to partner with on issues regarding high school reform, and decreasing the numbers of young people dropping out, and to assist students toward the goals of college and work. Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation & National Urban League.
Family Computer Learning Laboratory
A collaboration between the Department of Housing & Urban Development, the Miami Dade County Public Schools, Miami Dade Community College North Campus, State Farm Insurance Co., and the Urban League of Greater Miami, Inc., offering life-long learning programs for pre-school through retirement age, and promoting computer literacy.
Achievement Matters
A year-round program providing after-school and in-school tutorials to elementary and middle school children (ages 6-13) in Liberty City. The program served approximately 1,013 children in 2007-2008. Funded by United Way of Miami-Dade County. (Learn more)
Achievement Matters Test Camps
Funded by the College Board of Florida, the test camps provide PSAT/SAT test preparation for middle school and high school students (ages 12-18) in Liberty City and other parts of Miami-Dade County. The program serves more than 500 children annually.
